Creating a Character in DAZ Studio (Overview)

Creating a Character in DAZ Studio (Overview)

Take a look over my shoulder as I go through my process of creating a custom character in DAZ Studio from scratch.

The name of the character I’ll be building is Maphikelela. He is the battle-hardened General of the Askari. You can find out more about him in upcoming issues of Black Sun.

    @Adigun Forest.
    No need to apologize. We all need to start somewhere.

    To make the Genesis figure black you’ll need to purchase an add-on figure (of Afrikan descent) from Daz.

    i would recommend visiting the Daz 3d store and doing a search for African. You will need to find figures that are compatible with the version of Genesis that you are using.

    There’s many more variables involved so I think I will do an indepth video addressing this question.

    Hopefully the info I gave is enough to get you started.

    Let me know if you have any other questions.

    So I have to buy the Genesis "base figure"? I always get confused with all the Genesis and incarnation of base figures… can’t tell which is which. 😛

    Thanks for the tutorial. I have a question that I hope you will answer. What if I have a morphed V.4 character(but it is only a seen) and I want to save that morph(v4) as a character preset so that I can drag it over into the GenX plugin. How do we create the injection from the V2 morphed scene??

    Hi! I love the video. As I am very new to Daz, i’m sure it will really help along the way. Thank you for sharing your skill with us. QUESTION: I am an artist. Is it possible to incorporate my drawings/paintings into Daz as background scenes? Thank you!!! 😀

    A little too fast for me. But, I appreciate you trying to cut out the extraneous. I think you have cut out too much instruction.

    I’m sorry, but I’m super new to this. I’m also sure I don’t have half the resources you’re working with. I need help on how to make my Genesis character black. Then I’ll go from there. Baby steps for my friend lol.

    Hey man just curious, why did you decide to go with Daz instead of another program like Poser? I’m looking into both atm and interested in your thoughts on the topic.
