Social media giants must ‘take responsibility’ for graphic content | ITV News

The UK’s chief medical officers said parents should not allow children to take electronic devices into their bedrooms.

They’ve issued a number of recommendations to address concerns of how social media is affecting young people’s mental health.

It’s particularly resonant for the mother of sixteen year old Lani Clarke, who took her own life after logging into a suicide chatroom.

Her mum Bonnie Mellor told ITV News that technology companies and the government must take more responsibility.
